PET DOG TRAINING & BEHAVIOR – PRIVATE LESSONS

NOTE: I’m currently taking new clients on the North Shore of Oahu only, or those who are willing to drive to Waialua for a session. If you are not located on the North Shore or are not able to drive there, please see the OTHER TRAINERS section below for recommendations on other trainers.

Private lessons are available for dog owners who need assistance resolving behavioral challenges, or for those who want to start their new pup on the right paw. My approach to training and behavior modification emphasizes positive reinforcement, positive association and effective communication. All training is customized based on your lifestyle and your dog’s temperament and needs. I ask all new clients to fill out a detailed questionnaire prior to the first lesson, and I provide free follow up email advice.

Common behaviors that can be addressed include:

~ Jumping, nipping and over-excitement
~ Destructive chewing and digging
~ Basic obedience such as Sit, Down, Stay
~ Come and Leave It (getting your dog to ignore distractions)
~ Potty training
~ Fear of dogs, people, or inanimate objects such as stairs and bicycles
~ Aggression and on-leash reactivity towards other dogs
~ Possession aggression (resource guarding) including food and toy guarding

$85 at your home, Mokuleia to Sunset Beach
$60 discounted price if you come to my Waialua location

PACKAGE PRICING (pre-pay for 3 sessions – must be redemeed within 3 months)

$230 for three 1-hour sessions ($25 savings)
$165 for three 1-hour sessions in Waialua ($15 savings)
