K9 NOSE WORK® SKILL BUILDING WORKSHOPS with Lauralea Oliver CNWI
DATES: Saturday August 15th & Sunday August 16th (NEW DATES)
TIME: 9am to 4pm
LOCATION: Pearl City
In these hands-on workshops, Lauralea will work with the dog/handler teams on:
~ Enhancing your handler skills
~ Improving teamwork between you and your dog
~ Continuing to build your dog’s excitement for hunting while introducing new search challenges
~ Understanding scent movement as it relates to environmental conditions and factors in the search area
~ Competition scenarios and prep
Day 1 will focus on Vehicle and Exterior searches and strategies, and Day 2 will focus on Container and Exterior searches and strategies. Day 2 skills will build on Day 1 skills, however you may attend one day only if you are not able to attend both days.
Pre-Requisite for Working Spots: Dogs must be training on target odors (birch/anise/clove). Pairing target odor with food is fine. Dog must be comfortable being crated out of sight from dog owner.

Cancellation/Refund policy: The general terms of the cancellation policy are stated below. If you have any questions about this policy please contact us BEFORE you register for the workshop. If you choose to cancel your registration for this workshop, please notify us in writing (e-mail, letter.) If your cancellation notification is received no later than 14 days before the workshop, you will receive a refund of 50% of the paid registration fee less a $25 processing charge. If your cancellation notification is received no later than 7 days before the workshop, you will receive a refund of 25% of the paid registration fee less a $25 processing charge. NO refunds of paid registration fees will be issued if your cancellation notice is received less than 7 days before the workshop. This policy is without exception.
ABOUT LAURALEA OLIVER
Lauralea is a Certified Dog Trainer, Certified Nose Work Instructor and Trial Judge for the National Association of Canine Scent Work. Lauralea has trained extensively under the K9 Nose Work founders Ron Gaunt, Amy Herot and Jill Marie O’Brien. She also competes at the Elite level with her dog Mayhem. Lauralea has over twenty years of experience working with dogs in many environments and disciplines including shelters, working detection dogs, pet dogs and sporting dogs.
